Our quiet little weekend turned out to be not so quiet (isn't that how it always goes?!), but it was beyond wonderful nonetheless! On Friday night Drew and I had date night with mom and dad...we went to Mattito's in uptown. It was fabulous and if you have not been there before, I would highly recommend it! Great food and a wonderful atmosphere! On Saturday we went HOUSE HUNTING with mom and dad!! Sooo much fun! I can't wait to see where they end up! That night we had a date night with The Chamberlain's in Addison. We ALWAYS have way to much fun with them! :) Then on Sunday afternoon we went to the Byron Nelson with Ryan and Allison! Who knew that I would love golf so much! I think the Lipman's will have to make the Byron a tradition! (Nanaw and Papaw would be so proud!) After the Byron we had dinner with the soon to be bride and groom :) and enjoyed our time with them so much! When we got home from our long but wonderful day we were exhausted to say the least, so my sweet husband ran me a warm bath with my new bath salt!...what a great way to end the day! We had a fun filled fabulous weekend to say the least! Below are some pics from our date nights...we were not allowed to take cameras into the Byron Nelson or I would have had pictures from that event as well! (we all know how much I love pictures) Enjoy!

Home Away From Home
There is just no place like aggieland! It still feels like home when I visit and I think that it always will feel like a home away from home! It was a short but fabulous weekend! Saturday morning while sister was still at her retreat I met up with Lace for coffee at Starbucks...as always, we had plenty to chat about and loved our cherished time together! Around lunch time I went to meet up with sister!!! We had lunch at the tea room (deliciously complete with creme brulee!)...and can I just say that you know that you are in College Station when you are eating lunch and a cow's moooo from the street disturbs your lunch outside! HAHA, oh that will be one that we never forget! After lunch sister took me by and showed me their house for next year. It was simply precious and I can't wait to help move her in and decorate in August! And then of course would a sister weekend be complete without shopping?! Uh, no! So we ran a few errands and then on Saturday night we went to Island Party! It was so weird to be the "old" one of the bunch and it was a strange feeling to not know hardly anyone down there anymore (or if I did they were all much younger!) but it was so special to meet all of Mellie's sweet friends. Sunday morning we had our usual breakfast at Sweet E's and then later met up with Sean and his roomies for lunch and had a blast! The weekend flew by way way to fast but was fabulous as it always is! Thank you for being a wonderful host sister! I just love and cherish every minute that we get to spend together!

I Want To Be A Super Star
We found out that one of Andrew's bosses and his wife are going to be on American Gladiators!! (they are having a season for "couples" and Jeff and Ally are freshly newlyweds) I watched American Gladiators when I was younger and Drew and I caught a few episodes last season when it was on, but you better believe that we will be tuning in to see Jeff and Ally compete! Jeff's wife Ally is quite the little athlete and actually went and tried out for the show on their wedding day! (that's hard core...I don't believe many girls could say that they did much of anything else besides primp and prepare on their wedding day) So after the try outs, we had to wait to see if they would be selected, and next thing we knew, they were!! They are in LA filming currently and are having a blast from what we hear! Best we know right now, the episodes will air in May, but once we have confirmed details I will update so that everyone can help cheer them on! Go Jeff and Ally!

Step By Step
Couple of things on my mind today:
One - So I was sitting at my desk this morning minding my own business when all of a sudden I smell something nasty. I'm thinkin oh my stars, someone has a problem! But then a few minutes go by and the smell is still very much lingering! So I get up and walk around and oh yes the smell continues throughout the office! You know the smell...its the smell of sewer and it smells N-A-S-T-Y! So apparently someone busted a sewer line (lets be more careful next time!) and all the mean while I am trying not to loose my breakfast! Hopefully the "problem" will be fixed sooner than later, and before lunch would be much preferred!
Two - American Idol comes on tonight and if Jason Castro, David Cook, or my little David Archuleta go home I am going to be truly upset! Who cares about the girls, its all about the boys and their wonderful talent at this point for me! And yes, I did cast my votes last night to help out my boys! 10 votes for Cook, 10 for Archuleta, and 15 for Castro since he's a fellow Aggie and Texan! Good luck tonight! (and just for the record, I have never watched American Idol before this season, but now I am truly hooked and look forward to Tuesday and Wednesday nights every week!)
Three - I heard a rumor that The New Kids On The Block are making a come back and it's TRUE! http://www.nkotb.com/ I must admit that I have a few of their songs on my Ipod and still enjoy listening to their old hits! When I was younger, oh yes, I had a New Kids On The Block doll, the card game, a key chain, music video, and their tapes (we didn't have CD's back then). So I am just a little excited that they are back together and hope that my expectations and fond memories of the group still hold! "Step by step, oooh baby, gunna get to ya giiiiirl!"

I've Been Tagged!
I’ve officially been “tagged” by Rach…which means that I am to tell you guys 7 interesting things about myself. Here goes!
1. Everyone asks my sister and I if we are twins. I am four years older thank you very much! We certainly look very much like sisters, but I just don’t see how people get twins?! See for yourself. We joke around now and say “twins, four years apart!” We are SO very much alike, and are best friends…always have been and always will be!
2. I love mexican food, and so does my whole family for that matter. I could eat it for every meal and I don't think I would get tired of it!
3. I am pretty much obsessed with pictures! I love taking them, looking at them, being photographed, black and white photos, colored photos, old photos, new photos…you name it, I love it! I think pictures are a wonderful way to capture memories and tell life’s story. I could look at people’s pictures all day and be a happy girl!
4. When I was younger everyone told me that I looked like Punky Brewster, due to the fact that I have freckles and brown hair just like her I suppose. I HATED it at the time, but do see how they thought that I looked like her!
5. I hate shots, avocados, milk, going to the doctor, being scared, the game Cranium, and traveling for long distances in the car. I love the color pink and red (but not together), my handsome hubby and wonderful family, fleus de lis, shopping at boutiques, crafts, traveling, coffee, and organization.
6. I use to want to be an interior designer and sometimes wish I would have pursued that field more. I am content with decorating being one of my hobbies though now :) I just love to decorate and my husband will attest to it!
7. My husband proposed to me at Quorum Park…the place where we had our first kiss! It was so romantic! Married life is more wonderful than I could have ever imagined and I can’t believe that we have almost been married for a year!

Sweet Pea, Apple Of My Eye
I'm sure that everyone has seen that ever so precious TV commercial (I believe it's for AT&T/Cingular...can't keep it straight they change back and forth so much!) where the father takes his daughter's stuffed animal monkey on his business trip with him. While he is travelling he takes pictures of the monkey around the city's most popular locations and sends them home to his daughter...the final picture sent is the monkey on the family's mailbox, so then the little girl runs outside because she knows that her daddy is home! Well the commerical just melts your heart and playing in the background there is a catchy little tune that caught my husband's ear. He always calls me "sweet pea" anyways, so the song was fitting, and now every time the commercial comes on he sings to me..."sweet pea, apple of my eye"...it always brings a smile to my face! (he will probably kill me for sharing, but it was just too sweet to pass up!) :)

Here are a few of my favorite...and I mean really, how precious are we?! :) Seems like it was just yesterday! Love you girls!

Party Anyone?!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! Well there have just been birthday's all around our house lately...we had Beth's birthday celebration last week, precious little Ja'Mya's birthday party Saturday afternoon, Blaine's birthday celebration Saturday evening, and now its Dad's turn! Andrew and I have had our party hats on lately and can't wait to celebrate with mom and dad tonight! Oh how I just love birthdays!...and if you know me well, you know how I have a funny way of making them last (especially mine) for a least a week! :)
I have to brag on Drew and I for a minute...oh my word how productive we were this weekend! We got SO much done around the house! I just love spending time in a freshly cleaned home! My sweet little hubby was so much help! It's amazing how fast things can get done with two pairs of hands helping! I love being married and am so blessed that Drew is so willing to help me out around the house!
Well the long anticipate wait is finally over (drum roll please!) this weekend the boys finally get to go on their backpacking trip! This is all we have been talking about in our house lately :) This week (and the weeks leading up to it) drew and his boys have been getting prepared for their backpacking trip and are beyond pumped to be heading out first thing Friday morning. As for me this weekend, well I have several showers to attend and then my sweet lil' Lasen is coming to spend the night with me on Saturday! Oh we just can't wait!
