Early To Bed, Early To Rise!

I just thought I was an early riser (well not compared to my old roomies :)), but our little Bo is a MORNING LOVER! He likes to wake up crazy early and is ready to go potty right away and then play play play! Our mornings this week have been as follows:

Monday - Bo woke up at 5:40am
Tuesday - Bo woke up at 5:50am (a "late" morning!)
Wednesday - Bo woke up at 5:30am
Thursday - Bo woke up at 5:08am

He is still getting use to us and we are still getting use to our little guy (I mean we have only had him for a week today!) but I'm hoping that the 5:00am mornings will be few and far between. He is doing so wonderful and he is SO SO precious! He gets so excited to see us in the morning that it makes the early rising all worth it!! And I mean seriously...who can resist that cute little face?!?!

i feel: tired...baby Bo likes to wake up super early in the morning!

i search: for new fun things to do around Dallas
i wonder: when my foot is going to get better?! I have on heels today...not sure if that was the wisest decision but I'm running out of bottoms to wear with flats!
i regret: not taking more pictures during our first year of marriage, but strive to be better during our second!
i ache: in the mornings when I wake up with a stiff hurt foot
i care: deeply about the ones I love!
i always: enjoy a mani/pedi and need one desperately right now
i love: taking and looking at pictures
i am not: a tomboy (in any since of the word)...i'm a true girlie girl at heart!

Life Lately...

We have been going a million miles an hour lately, life has just been so busy! I know that things typically pick up during the summer, but whew, we are like in fast forward mode! So many exciting thing have been going on though and so many exciting things to look forward to!...

BO COMES TONIGHT! We are beyond excited to pick up our new puppy this evening and can't wait to shower him with love! Many many pictures and stories soon to come!

Mellie comes home August 4th (not that we are counting or anything!)...she is home for about two weeks and then we are all making the trip down to Aggieland to move her and the girls into their HOUSE! I am so excited...this year is going to be amazing for sister...she is an "official" aggie, has a precious house, has two precious roomies, has a precious boy, is going to be a leader in ASC...I'm a proud sister bragging :)

Mom and dad officially s-o-l-d the house Tuesday!!! Bye bye 1816 Green Ridge Drive...we had many WONDERFUL memories in you and we will miss you! We are taking the memories and special moments with us to the new and beautiful house in McKinney :) So so so excited for mom and dad and this new adventure! Cheers to apartment life for a few months until the new house is ready!

Drew's new job at Wells Fargo is going great! He has been there two weeks and is catching on fast (I knew he would!) He says that it is information overload and I just keep reminding him that it will get better! He is so amazing and I am SO proud of him!

My foot is still hurt and swollen, (see previous post about my "ankle wobble")...it's quite ridiculous and annoying to have a hurt foot. It probably does not help that I have not stayed off of my foot to let it heal, but who has time to just sit?! I'm praying really really really hard that it's just a sprain and that nothing is actually broken or fractured. I am not game for having to sport a boot or one of those ugly foot things, so say a little prayer for me that this foot gets better! Even though I danced and played sports growing up, I have never been "injured"...so here I am at 24 years old with my first "injury". I went out and bought two new pairs of flats because I STILL can not wear heals, and if you know me well at all, you know that I live in heals. My wardrobe is currently being affected by this hurt foot of mine and I am so over it. Come on and heal already! :)

The Newest Member Of Our Family!

We are adding a new member to our family and could not be more excited!!! Our little yorkie, Bo, will come and move in with us Thursday evening!!! Is he not precious?! He is five months old, already potty trained, and is coming fully loved on and fully "furnished" (with a crate, toys, etc.) Mellie found our little Bo for us down in The Woodlands. We are adopting him from a precious family and we just can not wait for him to be part of our little family! Here are a few pictures that were sent to us of little Bo and once he is home with us I will post more!

Wobble Wobble Wobble

On Sunday morning on my way into church I had a little "incident"....much like the poor little model in the video below! You just can't help but LAUGH hysterically, but it did hurt like heck! I was prancing in on the arm of my handsome hubby in my cute little sundress and wedges (they were quite tall, and apparently dangerous too!) and then all of a sudden I got an ankle wobble...



...And I still have the swollen, slightly bruised, and painful left foot to prove it! My fall was graceful, thanks to my husband having hold of my arm (I would have been a goner without him!), but painful nonetheless! It's was so ridiculous, and when I think about the "fall" I can only picture me looking like the model in the video! I'm sure that people got a good laugh, I know I did! (in between the throbbing pain! :) haha)

(On a side note, I do have to say that I wear heels almost everyday of my life, and I'm quite good at it, but for some reason on Sunday, my shoes and the rocks that I hit hated me. Oh the things we girls go through to be fashionable, haha!)

I can hear the bells!

Since it's been a while since I last updated...I have lots of news...so hold onto your britches, this could be a long one! Our weekend getaway - Well our little Brian David got MARRIED! He and his beautiful bride tied the knot on July 5th, and their big day was nothing but picture perfect! Mom and I jumped on a plane July 4th, made a pit stop in Chi-town for some lunch, then finally landed at our destination in Columbus that afternoon. Once we arrived at our hotel, we did a quick outfit change, then headed to a barbecue at Kate's parents house. The weather in Ohio is just BEAUTIFUL (I'm talkin 70's and 80's in July...Toto I don't think we are in Texas anymore!) so you better believe that we soaked it up while we were there! It was so much fun hanging out with family, our Dallas friends, and meeting Kate's precious family at the July 4th get together. I did some research before headed to Ohio and can I tell you that there is just not a heck of a whole lot to do in Columbus, but mom and I can make fun out of anything, and that we did! On Saturday we slept in a little (it was glorious) and then we got up and headed to a precious little downtown area where we shopped and had ice cream at an old fashion ice cream parlor...you can't go wrong with beautiful weather, shopping, and ice cream! :) Then that evening it was time to get dolled up for the wedding festivities. The evening was just BEAUTIFUL and mom and I were so thankful that we got to share in their big day with them! (I unfortunately didn't get any good pictures of Brian and Kate, but below are some pictures from our weekend). And before I end, I have to give a shout out to our Jilly! (our new navigation system) Jill chauffeured us around town like a great little hostess and we would have been lost without her! Thank you thank you Jilly!

When mom and I got back in town on Sunday, MELLIE WAS HERE! It was the most wonderful thing to come home to! We miss her so so much this summer and can't wait for her to come home in just a few short weeks! Love you pretty lady! Another new job - Yep, you heard it right...Drew got a new job! He accepted a job with Wells Fargo as a credit analyst in commercial lending. He starts on Monday and we are SO excited!!! It was hard for him the leave the amazing guys that he worked with, but he is excited about the new industry that he is about to embark on. Cheers to us both having new jobs and to a new chapter in our life!!! And while we are on the subject of jobs, I just have to chime in and say that I LOVE my new job! It couldn't be more wonderful and I am so so thankful for the new start! A new house - No no no, not us (yet) but mom and dad have come to a decision to build a house in McKinney! We could not be more excited for them!!! We will keep you updated with pictures and postings as the building process begins and develops! Congrats you guys! We love you!
