I was thinking this morning of everyone going back to school...and after having been in Aggieland last weekend, I must admit, Drew and I were missing the college "not a care in the world" lifestyle! We would not trade our life now for anything and we LOVE our life, but the memories that you are overwhelmed with when you go back to College Station makes you miss it. This week during the first week of school was always so fun, because really you didn't have much to do other than play! I do not miss the class/tests/papers part of school though, that, I never want to experience again! So here's to you all of my "first day of school" kiddos, enjoy every moment!
I love granola now. It's strange, I always was afraid to try it (maybe it was the raisins staring me in the face), but I took the plunge, in my attempt to eat a little healthier, and love it (minus the raisins :)). On a side note, I tried yogurt again and I still hate it. Wish I liked it, but it's just not happening!
I got my hair cut...yup got THREE inches cut off, and I love it! I loved my long hair, but was wanting something a little different. It's still to my collar bone, so its not really short, but its sassy and I love it! Speaking of hair, our hairdryer and my straightener are on there last leg (why do things always go out at the same time?!). I think I am going to go by new ones because it would be just my luck to have them go out while I was getting ready in the morning! Any suggestions on a good blow dryer or straightener? I don't think I will take the Chi plunge yet...Chi's make my hair toooo straight, I definitely still like some body and need some body in this hair of mine!
On Saturday night my hubby took me out on a date night! It was LONG overdue and we had SO much fun! We hit up Chuy's for some yummy texmex and margs and then went to the movies. With life going 100 miles a minute lately and with the newest addition to our family, we needed some alone time...it was glorious! AND Saturday was our 14 month anniversary! I love you so much Drew!
Speaking of the newest addition to our family...he is such a little rascal and we love him with all of our heart!!! We have a play pin set up in our kitchen area for him that we can put him in, for instance, when I am getting ready in the morning and Drew is not up yet, that way his is not in his crate and he is able to run around and eat breakfast and what not (I'm pretty sure that sentence is far to long to be "correct"). Wellll, he has figured out how to fit through the bars of the gate and has become quite the little escape artist! On Saturday morning, I got up at 6am to take him outside to potty, then wanted to get back in bed for at least thirty more minutes, so I put him in his play pin. About 15 minutes later I hear a scratch on our bedroom door, it was our little guy wanting to come in and say good morning! I must admit that when he breaks out he always runs right to find us and has not yet gotten into anything (knock on wood!) He is so adorable! I have some pictures of him that I took this weekend that I will post later once I get a chance to upload them.
I have added a new section to my blog that is a mixture of some of my favorite things! "Crafty, Cooking, Design, Fashionista, Suzie Homemaker Blogs I Love"...check it out when you are bored to get some great ideas from other blogs! Speaking of, lately I have had the itch to shop in a bad way...it's a good thing my birthday is not to far away! :)
Right now, I have two favorite songs...that I'm sure will only be favs for a short time because in no time at all I'm sure that 106.1 will wear them out! Jessie McCartney's "Leavin'" and Kidd Rock's "All Summer Long"...when either one of them come on I simply can not resist crankin the radio up! They are both great songs...you can't help but enjoy them by singing at the top of your lungs and dancing it out while they are on! :)
To wrap up my randomness, this weekend was just wonderful! Drew and I were so very productive...it always makes for a better Monday and a better week for that matter, when you can leave the house on Monday morning with a full fridge, clean clothes, and a clean house.
Cheers to a great week everyone!

So You Think You Can Dance (dance, dance, dance)
Yes, I am slightly obsessed with this show...I just can't help it, it's amazing and the dancers are SO talented! Tonight is the season finale and I have NO idea who is going to win, or who should win!! I would be happy if any of them won with the exception of Courtney. She is wonderful and ever so precious, but, I just love the other three dancers so much more. Katee is aaa-mazing and Twitch and Joshua (both hip hop dancers) are just so entertaining and with no formal (or at least not much formal) dance training...the things that they pull off are outstanding!!! This season has been WONDERFUL, one of the best so far I would say, and I am so sad that it is coming to an end! Good luck tonight and may the best and most improved dancer win!!!

The Flaw In Women
They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope, and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
However, if there is one flaw in women, it is that they forget their worth!
How true is this?! As women, we go so strong and rarely slow down, we want to please everyone and take care of everyones needs, and we constantly try to be the best that we can be. We rarely stop to reflect on how much we do and are hard on ourselves when we don't get everything done. May this serve as a reminder that you are WONDERFUL...we all need a reminder now and again!

Archie
American Idol's sweetheart, and one of my favs, David Archuleta has a new single out called "Crush!" I stumbled upon it this morning while searching online and its actually quite good! I don't think that it sounds like the "typical Archie" song, but then again, I don't think a little mixing up of sound ever hurt anyone! You can listen to it at http://www.1061kissfm.com/main.html. All of you American Idol fans, let me know what you think!

Hide And Seek
Bo found a new place to play when the Chamberlain's were over on Friday night. He sneaks under our leather ottoman (he fits under it just perfectly like it was made for him!) and then...waits for it waits for it...JUMPS out, "boo!" He also loves to jump out at feet as they walk by as well (he plans his attacks quite well...such a smart little guy). It is the most precious thing in the world!
