Have You Ever Gotten A B-I-N-G-O?!

If you know me at all, you know that I am not a Wal*Mart girl, I am a Target girl...always have been...always will be. Below is why. I know the little chart is so not "PC", but it's so true, and I just had to share. If you are a Wally shopper I still love you and seriously more power to ya sister!

Life With The Lipman's...Lately

Here is an update, through pictures, on what's been going on lately...

Bekah's Senior Homecoming was a few weekends ago...she looked just beautiful!

I know we had already been once, but Julie and Blaine snagged us some free teacher appreciation state fair tickets, so we went and made an afternoon of it! I sure do love a fletcher's state fair corn dog and root beer! (though my tummy does not love me for it afterwards!)

This past weekend Mellie and Sean had BYX formal...here are a few pictures I borrowed from her to share :) Such a good looking couple! They are so so so precious!

On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch with the Chamberlain's and had a blast...I think Julie and I decided that that is going to become one of our many Lipman/Chamberlian traditions! We have yet to carve our pumpkins, but once we do I will post some pictures! After the patch, the boys went and rocked it out at Edge Fest and the girls went shopping :)

Our sweet little Bo is just doing wonderful! We love him to pieces and can't get enough of his precious little personality. This is what he does when we try to fold laundry...he grabs a piece of it, takes it for his own, and then looks up at you like it was always his when you try to get it back! haha

I found a pair of black flats....I'm actually wearing them today with some black pants and a cardigan...what do you think of the shoes??

We found out that mom and dad are going to close on their house the day before Thanksgiving!!! SO exciting! I know what we will be doing that weekend! :)

We need to go vote vote vote!!! Have you been?!

I hope that everyone is having a fabulous Tuesday!

Monday Monday

I was tagged by sweet Kendall...and this was a fun way to help pass this never ending Monday afternoon! :) Enjoy!

What were you doing 10 years ago?
10 years ago I was finishing up my first semester of high school! Oh my word that makes me feel so old!!! I would have just gotten my drivers permit, so I'm sure I was begging my parents to let me drive everywhere! I'm sure I thought I was too cool for the world, and can I just say that I do not miss being in high school and all the drama that came along with it one bit! haha

List 5 things on your "to do" list today:
1. Trade in my Blackberry (that I just got on Saturday) for an iphone...Drew got an iphone and even though I had convinced myself that I didn't "need" one, after playing with his, I have decided that I "want" one...really bad. :) So I need to head back up to AT&T for a switcheroo this evening.
2. Pay some bills, yuck
3. Watch Jon & Kate Plus 8, One Tree Hill, and The Hills
4. Laundry, another yuck...it's just never done...not something that you can check off your list because there is always more piling up...I like to check things off my list
5. Get caught up on emails

Favorite snacks:
I'm not a huge snack person...but if I do need a snack I usually head for:
Apples or Strawberries
Popcorn
Gold Fish
Honey Wheat Pretzels

What would you do with an unlimited supply of money?
Wow, where do I even begin?! I would pay off student loans, buy a big beautiful house and furnish and decorate it to the hilt, trade my Honda in for some type of fabulous SUV, buy my husband the F-150 4x4 (and whatever else he needs it to include) that he is dying to have, pay for the rest of Mellie's school, buy my parents house that they are building so that they can retire faster, give money to several charities (which I would have a difficult time deciding between) and give money to our church, go on a major shopping spree, travel the world with the ones I love...oh I could really go on and on with my unlimited supply of money in my little dream world :)

Where have you lived?
Carrollton, Texas...College Station, Texas (whoop!)...and now Dallas, Texas...with a hopeful future move to Frisco/McKinney, Texas :)

Where have you worked?
High School: Armstrong Relocation
College: Armstrong Relocation and Mohawk Moving & Storage...I had the pleasure of not working while I was down at A&M :)
Post College: Northwestern Mutual for one long year (haha), and now I work for Tenet Healthcare which I absolutely love!

Who are you tagging?
I am tagging Jen Canady, Rach, Em, Natalie, and Nicole.

How High Is Too High?!

Today I went to DSW on my lunch hour in search of a black flat. I must admit...I have a black flat issue...I think that they look horrible on me when I have jeans on. I don't know what it is about a black flat that I can't seem to get over, but I am bound and determined to find a pair of shoes that will work for me! Black flats should be a staple in one's closet for goodness sake! While I was looking around I tried on several different styles from their extensive collection, but none of them were doin it for me...so I got a little side tracked and started trying on other shoes :) I found these precious shoes and just had to have them!

So, I put the shoe on my foot and OUCH! Either those heels are getting higher or I am loosing my edge! I have NEVER had a problem with heels...I am a heel girl to the heart...I would pick heels over flats any day! (but to preserve my feet, I am wearing flats more and more!) These were the most uncomfortable, but oh so cute, pair of shoes that I have put on my feet in a long time. Such a sad day to not be able to pull off a pair of 3 1/1 inch heels...but I blame the shoe...give me another 3 1/2 inch heel any day and I will strut my stuff all day long! Needless to say, I left the store without the shoes and feeling very much like an oldie.

25 Years of Wonderful

My 25th birthday was so fabulous! I was spoiled rotten and my birthday continued on for over a week...which if you know me well at all, you know that this is exactly how I like to do birthdays :) Thank you to everyone for making my birthday extra special! (see pictures at the very bottom of this post)

My birthday week started last Tuesday when Rach and Stac took me to a yummy early birthday lunch. It was my plan to snap a pic with those two cute preggers, but I forgot my camera! The day continued on with a celebration with the Lipman's. We had dinner at Desperado's (mexican food of course!) and then went over to the house for presents and cake! Delightful!

Wednesday was my actual birthday! I was greeted with birthday cards, flowers, a flower delivery, and happy birthday's all day long at work. Mom took me to a wonderful birthday lunch at Salt Grass...soup and salad, yum! I love our birthday lunches each year now that I am workin girl :) My boss got me a $50 gift card to Nordstrom's (only one of my favorite places to shop!) and then surprised me with cupcakes from the Cupcakery Wednesday afternoon! The multi flavored cupcakes were complete with lit candles and the whole office sang happy birthday to me! They spoiled me and did way to much, but I enjoyed every minute of it! On Wednesday night mom, dad, drew and I all went out to dinner at Gloria's...we went low key since the real celebration was this weekend while sister was home! It was a wonderful birthday day!!!!

On Friday sister came home to celebrate and spend the weekend with us! Friday night was my special birthday dinner night with Drew. He surprised me with dinner at Dakota's in downtown Dallas...if you have never been you must go! You walk up to an elevator that is on ground level and then you ride the elevator down to the restaurant...it is the neatest place! We sat outside and the scenery was wonderfully romantic, the dinner was delicious, and the company even better...I'm a lucky girl. It was a fabulous birthday evening with my one true love. :)

Saturday the day started with breakfast at LePeep's with the fam...nothing beats a yummy breakfast and a cup of hazelnut coffee. After breakfast we went to see mom and dad's house! It is coming along and it is so so exciting to watch the development! (pictures soon to come). We spent the afternoon shopping and just spending time together. Saturday night we made the long haul over to Fort Worth for dinner on Joe T. Garcia's outside patio. It was delicious and such an experience! Once again, if you have never been, you must go! After dinner we did presents and cake and then Drew and I took sister out to celebrate her 21st birthday "officially!" :)

Sunday we got up, spent some family time together, had lunch, and then sister had to get on the road to head back to College Station. It was sad to see her go, always is, but I am SO grateful and thankful that she came home to celebrate my birthday with me! :) Sunday afternoon Drew took me shopping...it was my birthday gift :) What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon...shopping with my hubby!

Last but not least, on Monday mom and Drew had the day off from work...so dad and I decided to take the day off to join them. We spent the day at the Texas State Fair...a Pasche tradition for as long as I can remember!

So....as you can see....it was a week full of BIRTHDAY!!! Thank you to everyone who made it so special! I love you all dearly!
